Can Any Online Doctor Guide On The Semen Analysis Report?
I just had a sperm analysis and found out the following. volume 4mil, colour : grey, consistency : viscous and mucoid. Head % pin....20, big... 26. normal. ..54. Tail% . curved....30. normal. ..70. Mobility.% Active. ..48. Sluggish. ...08. Dead. ...44. Total Count- 54:-X10 cell/ml. pus cell ml(+) epithelia cell(+) what next, is this good
Volume of semen: 4 ml- This is a normal volume
Sperm counts: 54 million sperms/ ml- This is a normal finding
Morphology: More than 50 % sperms have normal morphology
Motility: Only 48 % sperms show active progressive forward movement. Atleast 50 % sperms should show active forward movement
There is presence of pus cells and epithelial cells.
Presence of 1+ pus cells indicates mild infection. There is only marginal decrease in motility.
I advice you to get the mild infection treated and then repeat the semen analysis.
Thanks and take care
