Can Any Online Doctor Help Me With The Following Results?

I had an MRI done rectnly and it shows annular bulge and spondylitic ridging with left lateral spondylitic protrusion. super imposed broad central disc protrusion. this has increased in size when compared to the previous study and now causes mild compression of the thecal sac at this level the disc protrusion abuts the right and left S1 nerve roots. Mild narrowing left neural canal.

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.This refers to the disc at level ? L 5 - S 1 showing degenerative changes where the disc between two small bones has slipped backwards and is causing pressure and narrowing of the spinal canal. This can also cause pressure in the neural foramina on either side which causes pain due to impinging of S 1 nerve roots more on the left side.

The nerve pain may be controlled with restricted physical activity and pain relief medication. Please do not do heavy physical activity till you are comfortable. If the pain persists in spite of restricted physical activity and proper pain relief medications for few months then surgical treatment can be thought of. Laser assisted surgery is becoming popular in this area.
