Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Dear Dr. Narasi, I have been suffering from constipation after I had an appendectomy 7 years ago. I eat lots of salad and cooked vegetables and fish and only small amount of dairy and meat (no wheat). I am now relying on Senokot to be able to go to washroom. Fiber powder gives me lots of gas, bloating and discomfort. My question is : Does/Can appendectomy cause constipation? and what will be the best way to solve constipation problem for a person with (already) healthy diet? Thank you very much! Stella
constipation is not a cause of appendectomy. you must be drinking water minimum 3-4 litres per day. must be walking at list 30 mins. after u will see result.
