My name is Beverly, First things first i am overweight and plus all over the years, say like the past 8 years or so i had had many falls. i have severe lower back pains and it goes down to my legs. i have this pain right now for about a week. It is hard for me to walk, sleep, get out of bed, or go anywhere in a store without this pain gearing up severely. what can i do or take for it.
General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, Thanks for asking. It's the falls you had .. lead to some disc/ vertebral problem giving you the pain & it's conduction to leg. Overweight exaggerates the symptoms. Get X ray/ MRI of back done to pin point the basic cause followed by specific treatment by orthopedic surgeon. Reduction of weight would ease the degree of pain. Thanks
