Can Blood Clot Cause Leg Pain With Negative D Dimer Test?
Ok heres my story-
three days ago I went to the ER with chest pains, and leg pains. They did an xray and a D Dimer test and both were fine. Well the next day my right thigh started hurting. In my inner thigh near my private :) and down my inner thigh, also it kind of moves around to the front of my thigh. Should I be worried about a blood clot if I had a negative D Dimer test?? I guess im being a little paranoid and would really love some reassurance
Hello and thanks you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein and I will try to help you as much as I can with my answer.
Not likely blood clot since in these cases, leg usually hurts lower in calf and foot. Also, leg would be pale ,cold and tingles would be present. Also,D-dimers are pretty accurate when we talk about clots. So your pain are probably sign of something else such as neuromuscular issue or tendinitis. I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us. Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
