Can Bone Spurs Cause Pain In Palm And Wrist Juncture?
Thank you for your time and service. I am right handed. Fairly strong 105lbs left hand and 150lb in right. Recently I have had neck surgery and still recovering in Physical Therapy. The right hand dropped to 65 lbs then back up to 100lbs. However, I have been feeing a sharp pain in my right hand when gripping objects and especially when writing. My right grip is now 85lbs.This is now chronic by the AMA definition. Occupation: light typing but a lot of hand writing in the evening. I tend to press very hard when writing. I just wrote 300 thank you notes for my non-profit. I feel as if I have developed bone spurs at the base of my right thumb and palm at the wrist juncture to the radius. Could this be bone spuring and if so, can it be delt with microscopically or would this require full surgery? I am in Austin Texas 78746- Please make a Dr Referral. My e-mail is YYYY@YYYY Thank you for your time. Richard R. Troxell

Can Bone Spurs Cause Pain In Palm And Wrist Juncture?
Hello, The severe pain is because of nerve impingement caused by bony spurs. As of now, you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like aceclofenac/serratiopeptidase for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopedician and get evaluated. In that case, surgical correction may be required. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
