Can Botox Be A Temporary Remedy For Inability To Blink?

my husband was in a car acccient and the brain stem was damaged the #3 so his eye lid dont open on there own. We are going to have surgery but have to wait a little while for him to get a little stronger. Do you think botox can be a temp. answer for right now. We tape his eye lids open right now., and he hates that.
