Can Chronic Pain Syndrome Of Unknown Etiology Be The Cause For Numbness In Anterior Right Lower Leg ?
I experienced numbness to my anterior right lower leg upon awakening this morning, it has continued all day, I now have numbness to my left heel also There is no swelling of my lower leg and the circumference is the same with each LE. I do have lumbar DDD and also a compression fx of T8. I have recently been diagnosed with chronic pain syndrome of unknown etiology involving my epigastric region and RUG. And lastly, fibromyalgia since 1999. I am to have a MRI of the thoracic area sometime this week.
Hi and thanks for the query, I really think it is too early for you to get really worried at this point in time. It is not rare to experience this, eve in cases where you might have adopted an abnormal position upon sleeping. Compression of arteries with reduced blood supply to a particular nerve area could lead to temporal numbness which could come back to normal wit time. In case this persists or intensifies within a couple of days, you could then consult a doctor, for now, too early to worry.
