Can Concussion In Head Cause Blurred Vision?

Yesterday I was riding a white long van and i had to sit all the way in the back where you are able to feel all the bumps from the road. At one point we went over some railroad tracks and i happened to be sitting where the ceiling was the lowest, so i hit my head agianst the ceiling of the van and kind off twisted my neck. For the afternoon i had some ache in my head and also my left side of the neck. Today i also noticed that i still had the same pain in my head and in my neck, also sometimes i would feel a bit dazzed and my vision would kind off blur. so i would like to know if it could be a concussion or not? tanks

Hello,

If the impact was very hard then it is mostly concussion, please get an x-ray of the neck region done. X-ray cervical spine (Ap & Lateral View). Take sufficient rest and don't give strain to your neck, by limiting the movement at the neck.

Take good analgesics and adequate bed rest you will be alright soon, you may need to get a CT scan of the brain done if the symptoms are not subsiding.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Abdullah
