Can Conjunctivitis Affect Total Knee Replacement Surgery?

I have conjunctivitis and am scheduled for a total knee replacement in 5 days ... I wll see the eye doc tomorrow he said he can give me stronger medication....could this infection postpone my knee surgery? Apologies... I will call my Surgeon's Office tomorrow...they will answer me at no cost...thank you anyway

It seems from the history that you are posted for knee replacement surgery and you are suffering from conjunctivitis.
Since you are having infection and postponement of surgery depends on the severity and nature of infection. If the infection is severe it is better to postpone the surgery. If the infection is minor then you can go ahead with the surgery.
