Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood the concerns.
Continuous working on computer is not a known cause of
irritable bowel syndrome that is IBS.
The most important aspect of IBS is the normal test reports.
The blood, urine, stool, ultrasound/
CT scan,
colonoscopy all are normal thence only we can declare that the patient is suffering from IBS.
It is related to the
stress and/or
anxiety and such psychological variations that lead to the altered bowel habits called as IBS.
Your sitting for a long time with computers can cause psychological changes in you that can lead to the IBS.
If you have not yet done all the above mentioned tests, you should get these done so that if anything specific is found, you can get diagnosed and treated accordingly.
If all the tests are normal then it is IBS and you have to change over all the instigating or enhancing factors to stop IBS and also get some medications if at all needed to get a good control.
Also identify the foods and beverages that instigate or enhance the problems and stop these altogether.
This way you can be normal and IBS be under well controlled state.
