Can Crocin Be Given As A Preventive Measure For Fever?
Hi Doctor.. My son had fever up to 103 deg for last 2 days. The fever reduces as soon as I give crocin , but comes back again after 6-8 hrs. I had given crocin just 12 hrs ago and now fever is not there. Shall I give one more dose of crocin now even if fever is not there... as a preventive measure ?

Fever as per is not a disease but a symptom that indicate any infection or pathology in the body.So knowing what the correct diagnosis is more important for you. Crocin that contains paracetamol is used to control the fever true but apart from that some antibiotics should also be given depending on the infection and age of your son.So my suggestion is go to your doctor,lets him assess the problem so that your child is cured completely not just symptomatically.
