Can Difficulty In Swallowing Solid Food And Excessive Saliva Be Symptoms Of Anxiety?
I have had problems for the last few days initiating a swallow. I'm ok with liquids but solid food is a problem. I have been producing a lot of saliva and needing to swallow that a lot. This is causing me to have a sore throat. I have suffered from anxiety symptoms in the past about 7 years ago. Are these also likely to be symptoms of anxiety?
I went through your details. Please do understand that anxiety disorder creates so many bodily and mental symptoms which may not have any medical science back up. Most of those symptoms are related to obsession the patient does. Negative thoughts or obsessions regarding health issues produces symptoms which actually are not there.
In your case, excessive saliva and difficulty in swallowing solid food does not add up together. Therefore that could be due to anxiety and obsession. Do visit a doctor for investigating on your saliva. Rest, there is nothing to worry. Ignore the given symptoms.
