Can Dosage Of Temazepam 30mg Be Increased To Have Good Sleep?

I have an 87 y/o who has been taking Temazepam 30mg at bedtime, who is having trouble sleeping again. She is up and down all night sleeping through though the day. I called her doctor and waiting on a call which maybe Monday. My question if we increase to 60mg. will that be ok for tonight only? My observation is she would do okay as she has a high tolerance for this type medicine. she has been on sleeping pills for years. A month ago at her doctor s appointment they told her she was fine, heart good, b/p good was nothing wrong with her. Thank you,

Hello
This class of drugs are usually safe but can cause respiratory depression in overdose.
If the problem of sleep is severe and she is not having respiratory distress or any chest/lung problem, you can increase the dose.
I would suggest you to not to let her sleep alone in night.
