Can Duphaston And Utrogestan Help To Melt/rupture The Follicles?
Hi,Within both ovaries are multiple (>12) subcapsular follicles,each measuring less than 1 cm,suggestive of polycystic ovaries. Impression: normal sized anteverted uterus with thin and intact endometrium polycystic ovary,bilateral. My question is,is duphaston and utrogestan can help to melt/rupture the follicles? And will I be able to get my regular period back? My period was absent for almost 4months and I've been drinking duphaston for 3days now. I was diagnosed with pcos last March 10,2014. Do I still have the chance of getting pregnant? Thank you in advance.

As your reports clearly mention polycystic ovarian syndrome and you also have clinical features like prolonged menstrual cycles.
PCOS is a hormone problem.
You will need to reduce weight if you are overweight.
Tab ginette35 or tab Diane 35 for 5-6 cycles will cause regular monthly cycles.
Tab metformin twice a day also helps.
The drugs mentioned will induce a period now as you have not menstrual cycles for
4 months.
Tab duphaston will not help in melting the cysts. It is only for this cycle.
Next month onwards you will need above drugs.
Please consult your doctor regarding the same.
