Can Excessive Intake Of Laxatives Cause Abdominal Cramps, Constipation, Flatulence And Bloating?

Can excess of laxatives in a day cause abdominal cramps?. I have to take lactulose for chronic constipation . I had been evaluated by a doctor to have only acid peptic disorder/ hiatus hernia. I have regular constipation with incomplete sense of evacuation, mucus in stool, flatulence and abdominal bloating. I am 26yrs old.

Also, you should exercise regularly. Moving your body will keep your bowels moving, too. Second, you may at times need to try other rmedies such as as Fleet Phospho-Soda, Milk of Magnesia

If there wont be improvement on these measures, you should consider doing diagnostic tests such as colonoscopy, anal sphincter manometry and food allergy testing.
