Can Eye Discharges With Redness Be Treated With Eye Drops?
Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...I have been sick for a few days now. It started with being a little stuffy and then my throat was hurting. My ears have now clogged and this morning I woke up with mucus in my eyes and they are really red. I have been taking sudafed for a couple of days. My son had pink eye a couple of months ago and we still have his eye drops, could I use them to clear up the problem with my eyes?
I reviewed your history. Pink eye needs to be treated with antibiotic eye drops and anti-inflammatory drugs. The eye drops once opened should be used within 1 month. Since it is more than 2 month you need to discard them and buy new eye drops.
hi dear what seems to be troubling you is most probably an eye infection happened to you because of reduced immunity
an eye drop opened couple of months ago should never be used you can use over the counter available broad spectrum antibiotic eye drops be watchful for visual blurring when an urgent examination by a specialist would be mandatory
