Half of my eyelashes on one of my eyelids have fallen out and don t seem to want to grow back I am presently using Latisse for 2 1/2 weeks and the eyelashes I do have seem a little longer but this area in the centre of my eyelid just won t grow back. My eyelashes have always been very short and fine and I have occasionally had more eyelashes fall out intiny clusters but I have never experience such a big loss with little to no evidence of regrowth.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As per your case history, you are suffering from alopecia aerata. My treatment advice is:
1. Take good nutritious diet full of green leafy vegetables and milk. 2. Take an iron supplement and vitamin B12 supplement once daily for 3 months. 3. Other treatment options are oral steroid like prednisone or betamethasone to be taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
