Can Facial Discoloration Be Caused By Kidney Condition Or Menopause?
hello. question for a nephrologist. i have thin glomerular basement membrane. in last couple of years notice my face increasingly discolored (darker skin around the mouth, many dark patches). could this be related to my kidney condition, or more likely to menopause? thank you.
In my opinion, they are more likely due to menopause. Hormonal changes can lead to pigmentary changes. Make sure to take care of your kidney problems by frequent consultations with your Nephrologist and do consult your Dermatologist for treatment options for your facial hyperpigmentation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
