Can Flaxseed Be Taken When Diagnosed With LPHS?

My 28 year old son has LPHS. Trying to feed him a better diet. I am wondering if he could tolerate ground flaxseed or would it be bad for his issues of LPHS? Any suggestions for a better diet? He is very limited on what he can eat and not vomit. Seems to be getting worse. Thanks
