Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Had a gastroscopy/colonoscopy preforformed yesterday. Gastroscopy results were normal. A polyp was biopsied during the colonoscopy. Was fine until bedtime last night. Discomfort when taking a breath in (much worse when lying down) under left collarbone. Slightly sore throat, but better than yesterday. No difficulty eating & not short of breath. Could it be gas?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, the given symptoms may not be duet to flatulence (Gas) but it could be due to muscular spasm, may be associated with some allergic condition. In my opinion one can wait for a day to two because it may be self limiting, till then have light diet, complete bed rest, if no response comes then PPI with Chlorzoxazone can be tried, in PPI Omeprazole 40 mg once in day can be tried. hope this information helps.
