Can Headaches, Nausea And Memory Lapses Result From Head Injury?

I was run over by a bicyclist at night. Don't remember any of it. Ambulance picked me up. I had been unconscious for 10 minutes. Broken Arm/black/yellow/blue face on one side, and scar tissues over my brow and under my upper lip. It's a year later and I am still having a horrible time with my short term memory. I throw tantrums every day loosing items that I try so hard not to loose. Yet I didn't have any nausea or headaches. What's your assessment doctor? I am diabetic and 66 years old, and take Thyroid medication. I do crossword puzzles (semi-easy ones), and do a lot of research on the computer. I am a published writer for a local magazine. Is this from my head injury from a year ago?

Head injury can cause acute loss of memory but in my opinion short term memory loss, your tantrums and your advanced age point towards Alzheimer's Disease. Its a very common disease of old age associated with memory loss. You need to take a Mini mental state test with a doctor to confirm the diagnosis
