Can Horrible Cramps, Bleeding Little During Periods Be Due To Dehydration?

Hi! I m 15 and my period is a little I haven t been drinking enough water and I think I m dehydrated. Could this be the reason that my period is off balance. Also, I am having horrible cramps throughout my entire central area. Please help!! Thank you!!

It is not uncommon for young women like yourself to have periods that are particularly uncomfortable. You should try over the counter medicines like Tylenol or Ibuprofen first to see if they help, and if that doesn't work, ask your doctor if there is something else that he/she can do for you.

However, I don't think it is related to dehydration. While it is very important to stay well hydrated, dehydration is not known to cause painful period cramps.
