Hi, yesterday morning I was in my kitchen making breakfast not overexerting myself, had been awake for apprx. an hour or so. All of a sudden I had tunnel vision, my hearing became muffled and I felt as if I was going to pass out. I made it to my table to sit down and called out to my husband for water. He brought me water and returned to get a wet towel to cool me down but when he turned back to me I was slumping over in my chair, my hands shaking, my body twitching as if I was convulsing. Once he put the wet towel behind my neck and another on my head I became a little more coherent. I don t remember fainting but my husband said I was moaning, then the twitching and said I was out for at least 20 seconds. I don t remember anything after the water until appx. a minute later. My right hand, fingers, were numb the day before and the numbness ran up my right arm. I am 48 and beginning hot flashes. My husband said my body temperature was so hot to the touch and that s why he placed cool wet towels on me. I don t perspire like normal folks, and have had heat stroke and heat exhaustion as a result of not perspiring. Been like this since I was a child. Can the fainting be a result of the hot flashes?
