Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries
I can understand your concern. A lot of individuals suffer from nervous breakdown like situation like you are facing following a break-up. This sometimes results in significant psychological trauma and individuals fail to function normally in day to day life. Hypnosis can help you in recovering from these bad memories but that would require long therapy and very long time. Hypnosis is useful only if multiple sessions are done. If you are in deep pain then visit a psychiatrist. For some time low doses of anti-depressants or anti-anxiety drugs will help you to cope up with that psychological trauma and you will adjust yourself to that changed scenario. Don't think bad about yourself and visit a psychiatrist.
If you don't want to take medicines then visit a psychologist. Cognitive behaviour therapy help you to come out of these traumatic events and you will learn to relax yourself in trauma.
Thanks, Hope this helps you. Take care
