Can I Adjust The Medicine According To Blood Sugar Levels?
my blood sugar is between 120 to 150 during fasting and random. I am taking daily 1000 mg metformin, 4 mg glimipride and 100 mg sitagliptin. I want to leave sitagliptin. Can I adjust the above medicine and can control the above sugar level. Please guide me
Dear sir I understand your concern. I am sorry to hear you have been having difficulties getting your blood sugar in the normal range now. I am very happy you are this conscientious because having a well controlled blood sugar is very important in preventing the onset of diabetic complications. Regarding this medicine sitagliptin its a new medication and having many good benefits on your beta cells of pancreas.this medicine also decreases your hunger and control your food input. so in my opinion stopping this drug is not a good idea.
