Can I Have Amoxicillin To Treat My Infected Wisdom Tooth ?
I suspect my wisdom tooth is infected. Would you recommend Amoxicillin to treat this? This is all I am able to get right now. I do not have insurance so I can t just go get whatever I want. What are your opinions on Amoxicillin? Thanks.

Hi,thanks for query.Amoxycilin is a good and effective antibiotic.It has been used widely by dentist in various infections.In case of infection after proper diagnosis 5-7 days treatment is needed.Please get in touch with dentist in case of problem.Take light diet ,try to avoid injury to that part.bye.

Amoxicillin is a good choice for dealing with oral infections in non-amoxycillin resistant patients. Usually 500mg Amoxicillin three times a day at an interval of 8 hrs is required for 5-7 days. However its always suggestable to get the prescription before starting drugs, so that the exact diagnosis and treatment planning is done.

dear friend, try and take a consultation from dentist,, on the other hand, get an IOPA x-ray, not expensive or you can take amoxicillin with proper dosage of 500mg thrice daily for 5 days along with a painkiller and if you are prone to gastric upset,then take one ranitidine composition tablet with amoxicillin also. take low dose multivitamin tablet daily for 5 days also.

See first of all I would like to tell you that u need to get an x-ray of ur tooth, which dosen't cost much.
Further tell me if ur wisdom tooth is fully/partially erupted ?? Blindly taking amoxicillin will do no good. Pleasr get in touch with a dentist soon. Or u can take online consult here from any dentist.
