Can I Know How Many Days There Is Possibility To Rupture? What Process Will Have To Follow?

hi.......my doctor conducted follicular study for my wife and suggested rupture started at my 15th day and today 17th day and still egg is not get ruptured..can i know how many days there is possibility to rupture and if egg not ruptured what process will have to follow and what abt egg which not ruptured please suggest.Thank you.

thanks for your query.
Anovulation is the term wherein the mature follicle fails to rupture.
If the rupture started on the 15th day, by day 17, it should have ruptured.
If it does not rupture in a day more, then it is called as anovulation or LUF ( luteinized unruptured follicle ).
There is no process to follow after this.
This cycle would be cancelled, and chances of conception are nil.
The unruptured follicle could regress on its own, or form a small harmless cyst, called a follicular cyst, which would disappear on its own or with medication in the next cycle.
Also, remember that you need to be investigated thoroughly for causes of anovulation.
