Can I Logynon Contraceptive Pill After Finishing Periods?
I have been given the logynon contraceptive pill and i know that it says to start it on the first day of your period, meaning that you are protected immediately. However, i wanted to know if it is ok to start it after you have already finished your period, for instance on day 10 and how long it would then take to become effective please. Thanks.
As contraceptive pills contain hormones in low dose and you want to start from day 10th of your period, you are not safe immediately, you have to use condom up-to 7 days minimum to get contraceptive effect. It is always better to start from day 1 as first 7 days of menstrual cycle are already safe so if you did intercourse it's effect start from day 1. Never miss any pill and take at fixed time.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
