Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Newer oral contraceptive pills are an excellent choice of contraception for newly married women.
Of course, condoms are also a good choice, if your husband is compliant with usage of condoms.
NEwer pills have very few side effects, so dont worry about using them.
The only bother is remembering to take them at a fixed time everyday.
SO many women prefer to use a contraceptive patch / ring , which is like the pill but has to be changed only every month, so there is no headache of remembering to take a pill everyday.
You can take pills such as Femilon etc, which are good ones.
Jaundice a long while back is okay, as long as you do not have any liver complications right now.
There is a list of risk factors which have to be ruled out, and once that is done, you have no need to be afraid of taking them.
So please consult an OB - GYN, and then take the pills as per prescription after a proper check up.
All the best
Please feel free to discuss further.
Thanks

This site does not provide prescriptions, nor will they be legally valid !
Only a doctor who examines you can provide a prescription.
Common patch is Ortho - Evra, the ring is NuvaRing.
Failure rate of XXXXXXX is less than 1 %, it is an excellent contraceptive pill.
Take care.
Please tell me how to take XXXXXXX pills ans when to start in detail.
Thanks
Have explained how to take it.
Detailed Answer:
Start taking XXXXXXX 1 tablet of 30 mg twice a week for 3 months. For instance, if you take the first pill on a Sunday take the second one on Wednesday. From the fourth month onwards, take only one tablet once a week, continuing for as long as you don't want to get pregnant.
The first pill should be taken on the first day of the menstrual cycle. (as indicated by the first day of bleeding).
Irrespective of the menstrual pattern, continue taking XXXXXXX as per schedule.
If you have missed taking a XXXXXXX pill on the designated XXXXXXX day, take it as soon as possible. If you have missed your pill dosage by one or two days but lesser than seven days, continue the normal schedule and also use condoms as additional precaution till you get your next period. If you forgot XXXXXXX by more than seven days, you need to start taking it all over again, like a new user that is twice a week for three months then once a week.
With XXXXXXX occasionally the menstrual cycle may get prolonged in some users. This is not a matter of concern. As XXXXXXX acts as a contraceptive, it makes the periods lighter and the interval longer. This is not harmful for the body and can actually help increase your body's supply of iron as you lose less amount of blood. However, if your periods are delayed by more than 15 days consult a doctor and take a pregnancy test.
Hope this information helped you.
