Can I Reduce The Dosage Of Nexito?
My husband is taking tregrtol 200mg twice daily and clozam 10mg at night along with nexito 5 for past 3 years as per the physicians advice , now his has put on wait about 8 kgs and always in sleepy mood and sleeps a lot during daytime also. so can he reduce his nexito dosage.

Hi thanks for your question,nexito(escitalopram) is safe antidepressant with mils side affcets.since you are having drowsiness then you can reduce it to 2.5 mg and then stop if you are not having any withdrawal symptoms.
i would suggest you do follow up with your treating psychiatrist until he/she decides to taper it further or discontinue it totally. You should not be worried of its long term intake and should not try yourself to discontinue it on your own.
