Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband and I have been having unprotected sex for a couple of weeks or more. He has ejaculated inside me each time we had sex which was about 2-3 times a day. I started have pregnancy sypmtoms. Tender breasts, fatigue, more hungry than usual, etc. I took a pregnancy test it came out negative. I thought maybe it was too early for a test but I got my period. I got cramps, irritability, back pain, bloating. I know it s not implantation bleeding. It started off real light and a pink color but it got a brighter red and heavier as time went by. Today would be my third day on it. I m hoping it ll stop. Could I still be pregnant? His parents strongly believe I m pregnant but you can t alway rely on gut feelings. My husband and I aren t necessarily trying for a baby but we wouldn t be mad if we re expecting one.
Implantation bleeding is different from normal periods. Implantation bleeding is commonly of darker color though sometimes it may be pinkish. The bleeding is mild and stops within 24-48 hours. It may be difficult for a woman to differentiate between implantation bleeding and periods.
You are suggested to wait for a couple of days and repeat pregnancy test with the first morning mid stream urine for the best results. In the meantime, you can continue to stay with your husband so that chances of conception can be increased. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a gynecologist and get all the required investigations and tests done.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
