Can Increased Dosage Of Sinemet For Parkinson S Ease Body Movements?

My husband has Parkinson s and has recently had freezing when he tries to walk first thing in the morning. His last dose of Sinemet 25/100 is around 10 pm. He takes 2 tabs 4 X daily every 4-5 hours. Would increasing Sinemet strength or taking time release one at bedtime help his early morning movement? Sally Diepen YYYY@YYYY

Hello,

The problem in Parkinson's disease is that these patients are undertreated with low dose otherwise drugs are good what I would suggest you give him Syndopa 275 four times a day at 6 am, 12,6pm and 12midnight. You can add Pramipexole 0.125mg morning-evening that will be helpful.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
