Can Inflamed Tonsils Or Lymph Nodes Cause Palpitations?
I have been having heart palpitations everyday for quite some time now. I have had an ECG and holter monitor and still have not been able to find the cause. I am about to get my tonsils removed as they are very large all the time with large lymph nodes as well, this got worse when I contracted glandular fever last year. Could my inflamed tonsils/lymph nodes be causing heart palpitations?

Yes, inflamed tonsils can cause heart palpitations in some cases especially if are caused by streptococcus bacteria. Strep tonsillitis can cause secondary damage to the heart valves. You need to do an ASLO test to confirm the diagnosis.
