Hi,
Celecoxib (
celebrex) has been designated as a black-box warning drug by FDA, for its gastrointestinal and cardiovascular side effects. in the cardio-vascular side effects apart from strokes,
heart attack, there is also warning for thrombotic events. Though, these side effects are very rare and usually seen with prolonged use of drug, still to be vigilant against these side effects is of utmost importance.
Hence, though a very remote likelihood, still, possibility of clotting of veins of leg with appearance of
varicose veins cannot be completely ruled out. Therefore, if the signs or symptoms of varicose veins have appeared after your starting of Celebrex, then it may be a flagged warning for you and you are advised to see your doctor about this and treatment done accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
