Hi,Welcome to Health care magic forum.
You have read the literature of the cozar50,but you didn't read that of the micardis, both are of the same compound, but the dosage is less 50 in cozar, and 80 in micardis.
So if there is possibility of the renal failure, it will be same with both, but will have less effect with the cozar as it have less dose. It is the drug of choice in case of diabetic nephropathy.
I advise you to consult your doctor regarding your doubts, and use it with out any doubt.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.

Welcome to HCM.
Micardis is a medicine which is used in hypertension and preventing complications of cardiovascular disease. Micardis contains telmisartan.
Cozar contains losartan. Both molecules are of same group medicine called ARB group anti hypertensive.
Telmisartan is newer molecule than losartan.
If cozar suits to you then there is no need to worry.
You can switch over to cozar under guidance of your physician.
Keep in touch with your doctor.
