i had mild shivering and got fever 102F doctor gave me Ciprofloxacin 500 mg(twice a day)and Lupisolide-P(Nimesulide & Paracetamol) thrice a day. After taking these for one day ,next morning i had red rashes all over my body, for that i topok Cetrizine for 1 day but of no use. Please advice.I am female of 50 years.
Yes, Ciprofloxacin can cause skin rashes. Based on the history, you seem to have developed allergic skin rashes apparently caused by the Ciprofloxacin. I advise you to stop taking Ciprofloxacin and consult your doctor immediately for an alternate effective but a safer antibiotic for your infection.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
