Hi Doctor, My question is ,I am now 30 yr. old and planning to concieve. But I have irregular periods. So I consult with a Gynecologist. She performed some tests and said i have polycyst and some hormonal deficiency. She refered me for the tablets crisanta for 21 days and obimet and Aspirin Gastro-resistance TAblets to continue. So after the complition of this 21 days dose, should I continue the crisanta or not. is it effective for concieving. Thanks
The irregular periods with poly cyst and hormone deficiency do pose a great hurdle in getting pregnancy. The Crisanta for 21 days is a hormone regulator and you can not get pregnant when on this medication.
It is prescribed for cycle regulation and correction of underlying hormone imbalance, once when accomplished your doc will put you on second line of drugs for ovulation such as clomiphene citrate and others.
You will surely conceive, but this is a time taking procedure and have to remain patience during the particular length of period for sure.
Wish you best of luck for further therapy period and results.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
