Hi, i have been diagnosed with costochondritius after having a nuclear scan on lungs to rule out pulmanery embolism, a heart ecg which was fine & chest xray. I keep having chest pain in the breast bone and to the left top upper ribs. Thing is, im now 31 weeks pregnant & this is not getting any better & i am always in pain and taking just paracetamols. i have left work early as sitting at my desk all day makes me worse. Just worried i am going to have to put up with this for the rest of my pregnancy (9 weeks) and am worried if the pain gets worse in labour. Can i gt induced early for illness like this? even a week or so less to handle this would be great. i just dont feel like there light at end of the tunnel with this pain in my chest.
Costochondritis is not a big problem for which you should induce your labour early. Just be calm and relax dont think much about this. Apply local soothing agents, warm water application, massage over it, suitable physiotherapy etc. No need to induce labour for this.
