However I wanted to get ride of this problem permanently so consulted an allopathy Dr n he said I will be cured in 20 days time. He prescribed montair fx for 20 days and Levoflox 500 for five days along with the nasal spray... Is he telling me the truth that this can be cured permanently ?? Regards dema

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Maxillary sinusitis can be cured completely. Antibiotic will be helpful for infection. Levofloxacin might be helpful. But I would recommend Co-amoxiclav which will be more effective. Nasal decongestant sprays will help to relieve congestion and drainage. Montair fx will be helpful in decreasing the allergic reaction also. You can also take chewable vitamin c for getting a faster recovery. If no improvement then puncture of sinus and irrigation will be needed. If you take the treatment properly you can permanently get rid off this. You may need to take some precautions for not getting an attack again. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
