Can Medication Cause Pain In Legs And Feet?

I just started taking Ciprofloxacin on Friday and this morning the pain in my legs and feet were awful. Not to mention the pain in my neck. Should I just stop taking them and contact my doctor? Or should I leave work and go to the emergency? I'm not sure what to do here.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Ciprofloxacin can cause tendon pain, it is a complication of this family of medication.

It would be best to speak to your doctor prior to discontinuing the medication.

You do not need to go the the ER at this time unless the pain is severe and you are unable to see your doctor.

I hope this helps
