Can Medication For High Blood Pressure Be The Cause Of Dark Spot On Lower Legs ?
i have notice in the past year that i have developed dark spots more like brown blotches on my lower legs. I do take medication for high blood pressure and i know the medication i take is amlodipine which is a calcium channel blocker can this medication cause this problem?
Hi, Amlong( amlodipine) does cause hyperpigmentation of the lower limbs. These changes are due to mild vasoconstriction of the vessels in the lower limbs. this can also cause lower limb swelling and pain. You can try foot end elevation when you are at rest. If that also doesn't help plz visit your doctor for change of medication.
