Can Nadolol and Propranolol be taken together- Nadolol was prescribed for hypertension- the other is taken for vacieries of esophagus excuse the spelling- but my husband is already taking the propranolol for esophagus while Nadolol can be taken for same- Nadolol 1x 20 mg per day- propranolol 20 mg bid Thanks

Nadolol and propanolol are the same class of drugs,non selective b-blockers and for this reason they have same effects .
But for the treatment of portal hypertension that cause esophageal varicess is seen to be more effective the use of propanolol.
Propanolol and nadolol are very effective for the treatemant of blood pressure .
He can take them if they are prescribed from the doctor .
