Can Melatonin Medication Cause Rapid Heartbeat If It React In A Wrong Way?

I am experiencing a rapid heartbeat. I think it is related to the melatonin I am taking. I think it might be a negative combination with my birth control, or simply with me. Should I seek medical attention immediately or in the morning when regular clinic hours begin?

melatonin in usually prescribed doses doesnt cause cardiac symptoms. heavy doses can produce symptoms like hypothermia, insomnia
