Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Yesterday I left a lighted candle next to a covered plastic tray that contained sushi. It caught fire and started to melt. I moved it away from the candle and it stopped melting. I started to eat one of the pieces and I smelled the plastic and spit it out. But I have been worrying that the fumes not the plastic might be harmful. My throat is a little sore -- but maybe I am just worried? Please advise.
HI Thank for asking to HCM I really appreciate your concern the swallowing the melted plastic may not cause the soar only if the swallowing quantity of this is very big but as such you said that you just smelled like that and you immediately spitted out, if you are feeling something in your throat then this could be due to your psychological conditions, and not due to the plastic, hope this information helps you, have nice day.
