Hi. The causes of mild to severe dull pain on the left side can be :: Extra renal pelvis if there is associated obstruction due to congenital ( by birth) atresia of the junction with the ureter. Swelling / inflammation of the colon on this side. Problem with the tail of the pancreas. Irritable Bowel Syndrome
I would advise such patients to have: CT scan of the abdomen to confirm colonoscopy and relevant investigations as per the clinical findings on clinical examination.
