Can Mild Stenosis Be Treated Non Surgically?

I have been diagnosed with mild C5 & C6 stenosis per an MRI. Have to wait weeks to see a neurologist to explain what this means. I have chronic numbing/tingling up and down my left arm. Physical therapy has relieved neck/shoulder pain but not the numbing/tingling. Will this get worse as I age? (55 yrs. old) Is there treatment without surgery? Thank you, Kim
