Can Neosprin Or Aspirin Reduce The Keloid After Piercing?
I got my bellybutton pierced about a month ago, ive devolped a keloid on one of the holes, it looks as if the hole is being turned inside out and my flesh is popping out, ive tried sea salt, crushing asprin tablets & mixing it with water to make a paste, neosporin, and now rubbing alcohol... are any of these bad for the piercing? and do you have any other recommendations?
Keloids are best managed with intralesional steroids e.g intralesional triamcinolone acetonide. The depot injection causes breakdown of the excessive collagen tissue present in keloidal scar, thereby causing them to flatten.
The injection might be repeated after 3 weeks if required.
Alcohol, salt, crushed aspirin, neosporin won't make the keloid go away. You may rather induce some irritation at that site, on the contrary.
