What Causes Stinging Sensation At The Contraceptive Implant Site?

Hi, i had my contraceptive implant inserted over a year ago, over the last couple of day it has started stinging/throbbing especially to the touch, i know this is not normal as i have it for longer than a year. If you could please tell me the possibilitys of what this could be please thankyou.

Stinging or throbbed at the site of implant insertion indicates, some disturbance in placement of device. Please consult the doctor who had fitted it and get it adjusted.
