My 15 year old daughter had a cysectomy (right side) 4 Oct 2011 followed by the next 2 weeks in and out of Hospital firstly couldnt walk on right leg ,then numbness right leg. Then immobility of the right leg needing gas and air and an ambulance! What I failed to mention was in the GA we were told she had had an allergy to morphine! The right leg developed a rash and the right arm, being in so much pain she was given oramorph, even though we had made it clear we were under the impression she had the allergy to this just 3 weeks ago.My daughter had on this occasion an admission in hospital one month, (no diagnosis). Since this time she has totally changed in personality, very aggressive, abusive, wanting to self harm and kill herself. This has been such an acute change in her mental state, she says she see's things hears voices etc. Very worrying for us.She is undergoing an assessment at the moment, but find this all so very hard to understand.Could there have been a connection with the unexplained leg problem and cystectomy? Allergy?Pain?
